1854 – two Moscow merchants Henry and Carl Teel opened a leather workshop which laid the foundation for the beginning of the development of walk-mill production.

1880 – foundation of Felt Cloth Factory in the town of Voskresensk

1931 – the First State Factory of Technical Felt was set up

1930 – formation of “Voskresensk Felt Cloth Factory” named after January 9

1940 – opening of current line of buffing discs production

1971 – complex mechanization of Technical Felt Factory was completed and the name MPVVO was assigned (Moscow Industrial Walk-Mill Company)

1991 – in the period of transition of the economy of the country from planned to market economy, the felt production company was transformed into Joint-Stock Company of Closed Type “Gorizont”, hereinafter referred to as CJSC “Gorizont”

1995 – hackling device and quilting machines “Meka” were purchased (of Italian production), the departments of production of bed accessories and consumer goods were launched

1996 - reconstruction, furnishing of Voskresensk Felt Cloth Factory with up-to-date equipment

1998 – launching of the first company salon-shop “Mir Shersti” in Kozhevniki

1999 – Moscow Chamber of Industry awarded “Gorizont” company with honorary diploma “Moscow Quality”

2000 – output of factory “Felt Cloth” was included into the list of top 100 goods of Russia, “Golden Quality Sign of the IIIrd Millenium” was awarded

2001 – “Gorizont” was awarded international “WOOLMARK” sign

2001 – opening of the museum “Russian Valenki”

2002 – CJSC “Gorizont” was included into the Russian Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs.

2006 – joining of assets of Voskresensk Felt Cloth Factory to “Gorizont” company, opening of the second company salon-shop “Mir shersti” in Voskresensk

2007 - taking of new brands of bath accessories “Mirupar”^® and “Made inTim”^® into the market

2008 – beginning of work on changing and modernization of the outer appearance of the company
