Saddle felt can be of two types – sweat-cloth and under-clamp.

Sweat-cloth felt - used for saddles and service needs (bulk weight: 0.27 g/cm³).

Under-clamp felt - designed to be used as soft linings in saddle articles: clamps, saddles, other details of horse harness (bulk weight: 0.23 g/cm³).

Service felt - used as heat and sound insulation in industrial and civil business (bulk weight: 0.14 g/cm³).

Memory note for the consumer

In line with i. 2.2 of RST of the RSFSR 756-89 acceptance of felt articles (buffing discs, technical felt) in terms of amount is done by conditional weight, i. e. actual weight (Мф), reduced to standard moisture.

Conditional weight (Мк) in kg is calculated by the following formula:

Where:
Мф – actual weight of felt articles (circles, felt) in kg.
Wh – standard moisture of felt articles in % (in line with RST of the RSFSR 756-89 Wh = 13%)
Wф – actual moisture of felt articles in % (determined through laboratory analysis in the course of output handover from the place of production to the warehouse of the producer and put on the label glued to the article).

Acceptance of felt articles is made in line with GOST 314-72 and RST of the RSFSR 756-89
